If you are considering shooting as a control method, it should be done as quietly as possible; noise will add to the “effect” of any controls . Once you start an operation, you will need to keep that up for a good period, so the rabbits can’t rebuild populations. Reaching out to the neighbours and getting them on board will benefit everybody in the neighbourhood.
